![]() In a completely different vein, I read THE MIDNIGHT BRIDE, the second book in The Dead Lands series, by Kati Wilde. An Amanda Quick reread glom may be coming on. ![]() I went in with low expectations and was surprised by how much I liked it It didn’t feel *super* dated and the light mystery worked fine. For me that’s probably honestly better, b/c I’m not a big rereader. Just a pleasant, consistent reading experience. I read the whole thing waiting for something to jog my memory but it never came. ![]() ![]() It was also a medieval, which JAK/AQ stopped writing a long time ago. I dug even deeper into my Amanda Quick nostalgia feelings and read DESIRE I know I read this when it was a brand new book in the 90s and I remember that it involved a woman who made perfume and an island off the coast of England that had a bit of special vibe, but I had no other memory of it at all. ![]()
